Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing essential pre-hospital medical care on scene and during transport.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs monitoring, to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses.
- Manage airway patency using appropriate techniques and equipment; administer oxygen therapy as needed.
- Perform basic life support procedures such as CPR, AED use, and bleeding control to stabilize patients.
- Assist with medication administration, injections, venipuncture, and other emergency medicine interventions following protocols.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care reports, incident logs, and transport records while ensuring confidentiality.
- Operate emergency vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws; perform heavy lifting when necessary to move equipment or assist patients.
- Collaborate closely with hospital staff during patient handoffs, providing detailed reports on patient condition and treatment provided.
Experience
- Prior Paramedic experience with a valid BLS, ALS & PALS certifications.
- Critical care experience or background working within Level I or Level II trauma centers enhances your ability to handle complex cases.
- Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and emergency medicine protocols is essential for effective patient assessment and treatment.
- Demonstrated ability to perform airway management, medication administration, venipuncture, and aseptic techniques confidently.
- Experience in critical care transport or urgent care environments is advantageous.
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record; ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks regularly.
