About the Role:
Join CBRE in a high-impact leadership role supporting oneof our premier client portfolios, where you will help shape engineeringoperations across nine campuses totaling approximately 9 million square feet.
As a CBRE Sr. Engineering Ops Manager, you will lead a teamresponsible for implementing, coordinating, and managing complex mechanicaloperations across a portfolio of facilities and campuses. This role isprimarily based onsite at the client's Menlo Park, CA campus and will providesupport across additional Bay Area locations, with periodic travel to othercampuses as needed, including visits to Los Angeles approximately twice peryear.
This position is part of the Engineering and TechnicalServices function and is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation,maintenance, and performance of critical building systems. You will overseepreventive maintenance programs, repairs, vendor partnerships, and operationalinitiatives that support a safe, efficient, and high-performing portfolio.
What You’ll Do:
Provide leadership, coaching, and development for a team ofengineering professionals, including performance management, careerdevelopment, and succession planning. Oversee recruiting, hiring, onboarding,and retention efforts to build and maintain a high-performing team.
Direct and coordinate daily engineering and maintenanceoperations across a complex, multi-site portfolio. Establish priorities,allocate resources, optimize staffing, and ensure operational objectives areachieved.
Serve as a key escalation point for complex operational,maintenance, and building systems issues, partnering with internal teams andclient stakeholders to drive effective solutions.
Oversee the performance of contractors, subcontractors, andengineering service providers, ensuring work is executed safely, efficiently,and in accordance with established standards and service level expectations.
Manage the operation and performance of facility controls,building automation systems, and asset management platforms to supportreliability, efficiency, and operational excellence.
Lead sourcing and procurement initiatives, includingdeveloping bid specifications, evaluating vendor proposals, and managingcontract maintenance activities.
Develop, manage, and forecast annual operating andmaintenance budgets, ensuring effective cost control and financial performanceacross multiple campuses and locations.
Plan and coordinate maintenance activities to align withclient business needs while minimizing operational disruptions.
Partner closely with client stakeholders to support spacereconfigurations, capital projects, operational changes, and evolving businessrequirements.
Apply broad business and technical expertise to drivestrategic initiatives, improve operational performance, and achievedepartmental and client objectives.

What You’ll Need:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline preferredwith 5 - 8 years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination ofexperience and education will be considered.
Strong background and working knowledge of MEP systems in acommercial, campus, or critical facilities environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate anddevelop teams, drive operational excellence, and achieve business objectivesacross multiple disciplines and departments.
Experience managing engineering, maintenance, andoperational budgets at a campus or portfolio level.
Proven ability to communicate and influence effectively,including the ability to deliver sensitive or complex information, establishclear performance expectations and resolve operational and personnel-relatedissues.
Experience leading unionized engineering teams, includingLocal 39 personnel, is strongly preferred.
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications,including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solvingskills, with a proactive mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement.

California Residents: CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr. Engineering Ops Manager position is $165,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr. Engineering Ops Manager position is $175,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
