As a Concrete Carpenter at Thompson, your primary responsibility will be to build and install concrete formwork for foundational structures, such as walls, columns, and slabs.
Typical duties include:
- Coordinating with Project Leaders to understand the full scope of work
- Reading blueprints, schematics and other technical drawings
- Measuring, cutting, and shaping lumber or other material to create molds
- Directing and pouring concrete into molds and other formwork
- Using various hand and power tools, such as drills, saws, and hammers
- Performing general routine maintenance on tools and equipment
- Regularly checking forms for accuracy and quality
- Setting the example by following safety guidelines at all times
- Assisting with general labor duties as needed or directed
Requirements:
- At least 1+ year of concrete carpentry experience
- Knowledge of how to build forms for footers, walls, and columns
- OSHA 10 Certification (Thompson will train, if necessary)
- CPR & First Aid Certification (Thompson will train, if necessary)
Shift Details: 1st Shift (work hours vary, depending on project)
