The Director of Self-Directed Services will report to the Executive Director. The Director of Self-Directed Services will be responsible for the oversight of the Self-Direction Program. The Director of Self-Directed is responsible for the direct supervision of the self-direction staff and activities in the Fiscal Intermediary program.

Supervises and manages Agency Self-Direction staff within the department.

Ensures staff develops and maintains all records and documentation per NYS OPWDD and Medicaid requirements.

Carries a modified caseload.

Ensures SD Program staff provides high quality and person-centered services to their participants.

Reviews and evaluates status of the SD program and make recommendations to the Executive Director.

Provides coverage of SD caseload in absence of other staff.

Reviews client budgets, invoices, etc. as needed according to agency procedures.

Ensures training requirements for all program staff including SD Coordinators are met.

Implements SD quality assurance policy, procedures and plan.

Participates in SD program emergency on call coverage.

Coordinates with Executive Director to ensure all billable events are properly documented.

Attends and participates in relevant community and professional providers meetings.

Complete 12 hours annual training.

Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelors Degree in Health and Human Service field; Masters preferred and at least one year working with people with I/DD

At least two years of supervisory skills preferred

Excellent communication and written skills; organizational skills and the ability to resolve conflict

Skilled in technology and usage of software programs

Valid NYS Driver's License
