Looking for someone that loves to travel, is happy living on the road and meeting new people.
We are looking for a Class A Truck Driver who motivated and thrives on independence, enjoys navigating diverse routes, and is passionate about providing the best customer service to our clients, volunteers and visitors to the truck.
The vehicle is a 40 foot box truck-style mobile computer lab/office that tours different cities and states all over the US (from California to Florida) with a focus on the Midwest and Southeast.
Hotel budget and daily per diem reimbursed separately from salary.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicle, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards.
- Navigate using GPS systems to optimize routes .
- Arrive at events locations 1 hour prior to event start time, turn on generator, computers, printer, etc. Ensure everything is in working order and ready for the event volunteers.
- Troubleshoot if any issues arrive.
- Assist with event breakdown and shutdown of vehicle systems prior to leaving events.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with all safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with COO about any issues encountered on the road.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and inspection reports in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid Class A or B CDL license. (Class A preferred)
- Familiarity with route driving across different regions and managing logistics efficiently.
- Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration), DOT (Department of Transportation), and safety standards.
- Experience with troubleshooting technology will be very helpful.
- Experience with troubleshooting mechanical issues .
