- Train existing employees on:
1. New equipment
2. New batches
3. New procedures within production
- Operate pint capping/sealing machinery, can filler, and cartridge filler in a safe and efficient manner.
- Retrieve packaging components and dispense high quality products from drum or other containers into smaller containers by weight or volume that is attractive to the customer.
- Accurately follows and completes wet pack sheets according to packaging components, labels, product, weights and volume.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Empower Junior Operators and Wet Packers on new production processes.
- Use good problem solving, decision making, and planning tools.
- Trained yearly in the handling (i.e. 90-day storage drum management, transporting, etc.) of hazardous waste drums.
- Trained in bulk receiving of raw materials and oversee transfer to bulk raw material tanks.
- Handle all finished good returns to be processed for rework or restocking.
- Be willing to work overtime as needed during the week and weekends.
- Actively giving feedback to employees on matters of performance and attitude.
- Active involvement in teams/committees.

- Attend technical/developmental training at least 2x per year.
- Author detailed debriefs.

Experience and Education
- Two (2) years successful experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; and,
- High school graduate or GED required; and,
- Previous experience in a chemical industry preferred; and,
- Moderate understanding of operating a computer; or,
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
The Production Team Lead is responsible to oversee daily operations in production area and Dry Pack to ensure that only the highest quality product is manufactured in a safe and efficient manner. Train, mentor and share job knowledge and skill sets to help and guide the development of Operators, Wet Packers, & Dry Packers while safely, accurately and efficiently down-pack liquid, paste, and powder products from bulk containers to finished goods unit containers. The Team Lead will be marked as the “Manager on Duty” if the Supervisor is out or unavailable. Cross-training and regular back-up for other departments including Packing, Buddy Rhodes and/or Shipping, depending on capability and proficiency.
