American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position requiring 2 years of ER experience and GA or compact RN licensure.

Work in the Emergency Department (ER) of a hospital setting
-
Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
-
16-week assignment length
-
Every other weekend required
-
No on-call responsibilities
-
Floating required within facility and scope of practice as needed
-
Active GA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
-
Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
-
Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
-
Preferred certifications: CPI, ENPC, TNCC
-
Skilled in respiratory care and management of ventilated patients
-
Experience with medication administration including continuous IV sedation preferred
-
Experience with procedural sedation administration and monitoring preferred
-
Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
-
Triage experience required
-
First-time travelers accepted

Provide emergency department nursing care including triage, cardiac monitoring, and management of critical patients

Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within the assignment period (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day)

If one or two major holidays occur during the assignment, no holiday time off may be requested

If three major holidays occur during the assignment, one holiday time off request may be considered
-
Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized prior to start

Local candidates accepted at the same rate

Candidates who have previously worked in a permanent, per diem, or FCSS role with this health system must be away for one full year before returning as a traveler
