Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This position involves creating engaging educational experiences that promote child welfare, literacy education, and overall development. The Preschool Teacher will work closely with children, parents, and staff to ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with educational standards and fosters creativity and exploration.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to express themselves.
- Conduct regular assessments of children's progress through standardized testing and observational methods.
- Provide individualized support to children based on their unique needs, including tutoring for those requiring additional assistance.
- Engage in toddler care practices that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Collaborate with parents to discuss children's progress and address any concerns regarding their education or well-being.
- Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness while ensuring all materials are safe and accessible.
- Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education, including Montessori methods.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in an educational setting is essential; experience in preschool or daycare environments is preferred.
- Knowledge of child welfare practices and the ability to implement them effectively within the classroom.
- Familiarity with curriculum development techniques that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Strong understanding of literacy education principles and how to integrate them into daily activities.
- Experience with tutoring or providing additional support for children who may need extra help in specific areas.
- A background in Montessori education is a plus but not required.
