We are seeking a reliable and experienced Residential Driver with a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to join our team in Douglas, GA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials to residential locations, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service.
- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Transport goods and materials to residential addresses within assigned routes.
- Load and unload cargo carefully to prevent damage.
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and proper maintenance.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, records, and reports.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably in residential delivery.
- Knowledge of local and state traffic laws and regulations.
- Ability to operate and maneuver large vehicles safely.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
This position involves driving in various weather conditions and requires physical activity such as loading and unloading cargo. The role is primarily based in Douglas, GA, with routes covering residential areas.
