As an experienced Applications Engineer, you’ll play a vital part in bridging the gap between engineering design and production floor manufacturing. The ideal candidate will program CNC machines, optimize machining processes, design tooling and provide technical support to ensure the shop runs as efficiently as possible.
This role reports directly to the Operations Manager.

CNC Programming: Create complex tool paths using MasterCam for mill and lathe machine operations.

Process Optimization: Develop and refine machining strategies to reduce cycle times, minimize tooling costs, and improve part quality.

Tooling Selection: Determine the most effective and costefficient cutting tools, fixtures and materials for specific jobs.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with machine setups, broken tools or programming errors on the production floor.

Documentation: Create setup sheets, tool lists and standard operating procedures to train machinists.

Introduce and support new measuring technologies to Quality Control.

Learn related application software and use of all measurement instruments.

Familiarize and follow established ISO procedures for machining.

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent on the job experience.

3+ years of handson CNC programming and machining experience (manufacturing and extrusion related is highly preferred).

CAD proficiency (SolidWorks preferred) and G & M code.

Strong ability to interpret complex technical drawings and blueprints.
