Seeking an energetic Cleaning Operations Manager:
Cleaning Operations Manager to lead and oversee all cleaning and sanitation activities across large office building in NYC.
This is a NON-Union Managerial role.
In this pivotal role, you will manage cleaning teams (32BJ), ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and deliver exceptional service to our clients. Your leadership will drive operational excellence, foster a culture of teamwork, and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Duties
- Lead and supervise cleaning staff, ensuring efficient team management and clear communication of expectations.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, protocols, and sanitation procedures aligned with industry best practices and safety regulations.
- This position provides management oversight of both the building’s 8:00 AM–4:00 PM day cleaning operation and 4:00 PM–12:00 AM evening/night cleaning operation.
- Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to assess cleanliness levels, identify areas for improvement, and ensure quality standards are met consistently.
- Train staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, equipment use, and customer service protocols to foster a motivated and knowledgeable team.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs, address concerns promptly, and deliver outstanding customer service that exceeds expectations.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation practices, safety regulations, and management of janitorial operations.
- They would oversee:
Supervision over 2 daily shift.
Day operation — 8 AM–4 PM
- Inspect cleaning throughout the building
- Review day-cleaning assignments
- Monitor restrooms, common areas, tenant areas, and public spaces
- Address tenant/management complaints with the Building Management Office
- Track attendance and staffing
- Ensure daily/weekly/monthly work is completed
- Coordinate special projects
Night operation — 4 PM–12 AM
- Be present when the night crew reports
- Review assignments and priorities
- Inspect work in progress
- Make sure periodic work gets done
- Monitor trash removal and trash areas
- Check floors, restrooms, elevators, corridors, lobby, etc.
- Address callouts and coverage
- Conduct end-of-shift quality inspections
- Communicate outstanding issues to building management
Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
