Bilingual Tour & Chocolate Experience Host
Location: Finca La Providencia – Moca, Puerto Rico
Job Type: Part-time
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday | Approximately 6 hours per day
Pay: $10.50 per hour + commissions
About the Role
Finca La Providencia is a small cacao farm in Moca offering guided cacao farm tours and chocolate tastings for visitors from Puerto Rico, the mainland U.S., and Europe. We are looking for a warm, reliable, fully bilingual (English/Spanish) person to host visitors and lead the on-farm experience and chocolate tastings.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hosting people and creating memorable experiences.
This is a guest-facing hospitality role that includes leading outdoor walking farm tours, conducting chocolate tastings, and supporting small-batch chocolate making during downtime. No prior farm or chocolate experience required. Training is provided.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome and guide small groups of visitors on cacao farm tours
- Lead guided walking tours lasting approximately 1.5 hours, mostly standing and walking outdoors
- Navigate uneven terrain, stairs, and gentle uphill/downhill paths within the farm
- Conduct chocolate tastings and explain the tree-to-bar process (training provided)
- Prepare the tour and tasting space daily
- Light cleaning of store-front areas (tasting area, bathrooms)
- Assist with small-batch chocolate making during downtime by following clear, step-by-step procedures
- Keep inventory and make re-supply orders as needed.
- Answer visitor and potential visitor questions clearly and confidently in English and Spanish
Physical Requirements
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods
- Able to walk on uneven ground, stairs, and outdoor farm paths
- Comfortable working outdoors in a tropical farm environment
- Able to carry light items related to tours and tastings
This is an active, hands-on role.
