POSITION SUMMARY
L5 Excavation, LLC is seeking a motivated Recruiter to lead talent acquisition efforts across our family of companies. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates for field and office positions, ranging from laborers and equipment operators to superintendents, estimators, and safety personnel. The Recruiter will manage job postings across multiple platforms, build candidate pipelines, and partner closely with operations leadership to meet ongoing staffing needs across our Texas project locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Source, screen, and evaluate candidates for field and office positions across all L5 companies
- Create, post, and manage job listings across online platforms (Indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn, and others)
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for hard-to-fill field positions
- Conduct initial phone screens and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
- Partner with operations leadership to understand staffing needs and project timelines
- Maintain accurate candidate records and applicant tracking documentation
- Coordinate pre-employment requirements, including background checks and drug screenings
- Support onboarding coordination for new hires
- Represent L5 at job fairs, trade schools, and community hiring events as needed
- Track and report on recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill and source effectiveness
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 2–3 years of recruiting experience, ideally within construction, skilled trades, or industrial sectors
- Familiarity with online recruiting platforms (Indeed, ZipRecruiter, LinkedIn)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport with candidates at all levels
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously
- Working knowledge of employment law basics, including I-9 and E-Verify requirements
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and standard office software
- Valid Texas driver’s license required

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
