Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Purchasing Specialist fluent in both English and Spanish, with at least three years of procurement experience, to join our dynamic supply chain team. This role is integral to managing procurement processes, vendor relationships, and inventory control, ensuring seamless operations across our organization. Must have experience using purchasing management software, along with excellent negotiation and communication abilities. Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement activities utilizing ERP systems to ensure timely acquisition of goods and services.
- Coordinate with vendors to negotiate prices, delivery terms, and contracts, fostering strong vendor relationships.
- Analyze purchase data using spreadsheets and Excel to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement strategies.
- Oversee inventory management processes, including inventory control, logistics coordination, and supply chain planning.
- Support sourcing initiatives by evaluating supplier options and conducting direct negotiations for procurement needs.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and vendor communications within purchasing management systems.
- Collaborate with production planning, merchandising, and logistics teams to align procurement activities with operational demands.
- Monitor pricing trends and market conditions to inform sourcing decisions and optimize supply chain performance.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years’ experience in procurement or purchasing analysis within a manufacturing or retail environment.
- Strong knowledge of materials management, inventory control, logistics, and supply chain management principles.
- Excellent vendor communication skills coupled with negotiation expertise to secure favorable terms.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel spreadsheets for procurement analysis, reporting and decision-making.
- Native bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required for effective communication across diverse types of vendors.
