Summary: We are seeking a reliable and skilled Prep and Line Cook to prepare high-quality food in a fast-paced kitchen environment. This
role is responsible for both food preparation and cooking menu items according to recipes and standards while maintaining a clean, organized,
and safe workstation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (subject to revision, reduction and/or increase):
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
- Ensure food quality, freshness, and proper portioning
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and workstations
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Assist with inventory, food rotation (FIFO), and restocking
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
- Properly label, store, and rotate food
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties
- Respond to clients in a professional and friendly manner
Requirements
- Previous kitchen, prep cook, or line cook experience preferred
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with POS systems and basic computer skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in hot, cold, and fast-paced kitchen condition
