Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of teachers.
Responsibilities:
- Support teachers in implementing lesson plans and curriculum
- Assist with classroom management and behavior strategies
- Work with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts
- Collaborate with educators to develop and adapt teaching materials
- Provide support to students with diverse needs, including those with autism
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
- Experience working with preschool or school-aged children
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, teachers, and parents
- Familiarity with lesson planning and curriculum development
- Ability to assist in behavior management within the classroom
Qualifications:
- NJ Substitute Certificate/30 Credits OR pas the Praxis Parapro
