Overview

Duties
- Assist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation activities.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared according to recipes and standards.
- Manage shift schedules and coordinate team assignments to optimize workflow.
- Train and mentor kitchen staff in culinary techniques, food safety, and hygiene practices.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new menu items and seasonal offerings.
- Handle special dietary requests from guests, ensuring their needs are met with care.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a restaurant or banquet setting.
- Strong culinary skills with knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines.
- Experience in shift management and team leadership within a kitchen environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with kitchen management software is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
