Overview

Duties
- Supervise daily food production activities, ensuring all items meet quality and safety standards
- Oversee food preparation processes, including butchery, slicing techniques, trimming, and packaging to optimize efficiency and consistency
- Implement and monitor food safety sanitizing procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations at all times
- Conduct visual inspections for quality control, checking for freshness, appearance, and adherence to specifications
- Manage perishable goods inventory, including proper storage, rotation, and waste reduction strategies
- Train staff on proper food handling techniques, knife skills, meat cutting methods, and food safety management practices
- Collaborate with the customer service team to ensure a positive dining experience by maintaining high standards of food presentation and service
Requirements
- Proven experience in food industry roles such as kitchen staff, butcher or culinary positions with strong knife skills and meat cutting expertise
- Extensive knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling regulations
- Demonstrated ability to manage food production processes including slicing techniques and packaging methods
- Strong background in kitchen or restaurant environments with hands-on culinary experience
- Excellent visual inspection skills for quality control of perishable goods and finished products
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
- Exceptional communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence
