Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support the development, optimization, and sustainment of manufacturing processes for laser used in Raman spectroscopy, Quantum application, fiber laser seeding and pumping. The ideal candidate will have experience in process development, process improvement, manufacturing support, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement within a high-technology manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Process Engineer with experience supporting and improving manufacturing processes for laser packaging and testing.
- Experience troubleshooting manufacturing issues and participating in root cause failure analysis and corrective action activities.
- Process Engineer with experience supporting new product introduction (NPI), process validation, and manufacturing transfer activities.
- Knowledge of process characterization, process control, and yield improvement techniques.
- Experience working with manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, and automated production systems.
- Process Engineer has ability to create and maintain manufacturing documentation including work instructions, process specifications, and standard operating procedures.
- Experience collaborating with engineering, quality, and operations teams to improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Process Engineer with familiarity with statistical process control (SPC), process capability analysis, and data collection methods.
- Experience analyzing manufacturing data to identify trends, improve yields, reduce scrap, and increase throughput.
- Process Engineer with understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) principles and structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement practices, and quality systems.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Education: Preferred: B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, Physics, or other related engineering disciplines.
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related engineering roles supporting the production of single and multimode lasers.
