American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel contract in an acute care hospital setting, requiring CNMT or ARRT (NM) certification and at least 1 year of experience.

Acute care hospital setting in a Nuclear Medicine unit

8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday with no weekends, evenings, or call required

Allscripts EMR in use at this facility

Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience

CNMT certification via NMTCB, or ARRT registration with NM certification

Maine State Radiologic Technologist license for Nuclear Medicine required (license required if applicable)

BLS certification (AHA or ARC)

Experience with nuclear medicine imaging and therapy in an acute care setting

Responsibilities include reviewing patient history and physician orders, educating patients on procedures, and obtaining patient cooperation prior to imaging

Orders, prepares, administers, stores, and disposes of radiopharmaceuticals and medications in accordance with established protocols and regulatory standards

Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, implements safety standards, and performs quality control procedures on equipment

Positions patients, performs imaging procedures, analyzes image quality, and enters and transmits scan results

Troubleshoots and reports equipment malfunctions as needed
