Job Description
Hana Sushi, located in the vibrant Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore, is looking for energetic, professional, and hospitality-driven Servers to join our front-of-house team! We are dedicated to providing our guests with exceptional Japanese cuisine, fresh sushi, and top-tier customer service in a welcoming, fast-paced atmosphere.

Responsibilities
- Welcome and greet guests warmly, present menus, and guide them through their dining experience.
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of our food and beverage menus, including sushi rolls, hot kitchen items, sake, and daily specials, to answer questions and make recommendations.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and enter them efficiently into the POS system.
- Deliver food and beverages to tables promptly and ensure guests have everything they need throughout their meal.
- Collaborate closely with the kitchen team, bartenders, and support staff to ensure a smooth flow of service.
- Pre-bus tables, clear dishes, and maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area.
- Process customer payments accurately and handle cash/card transactions securely.
- Perform essential side-work duties, including rolling silverware, wiping down menus, and setting up or breaking down the dining room.
Requirements
- Minimum 1+ years of serving experience in a fast-paced or casual dining restaurant (experience in a Japanese/Sushi restaurant is a plus, but not required).
- Excellent communication skills, a friendly personality, and a strong focus on customer hospitality.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized under pressure during busy dinner rushes.
- Strong teamwork mentality and a willingness to help out colleagues when needed.
- Reliable transportation and excellent punctuality.
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Maryland.
- Flexibility to work evening shifts, weekends, and holidays.
