Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Coordinator to join our orthodontic office team. The ideal candidate will possess strong orthodontic billing and coding expertise, with a focus on orthodontic procedures. As a Financial Coordinator, you will manage patient accounts, ensure accurate coding for insurance claims, and facilitate smooth financial operations to support exceptional patient care and practice efficiency.

Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims using appropriate coding systems such as ADA/ CDT-10 codes.
- Review treatment records and documentation to ensure accurate coding for orthodontic procedures and treatments.
- Manage patient billing, collections, and account reconciliation to optimize revenue cycle management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of dental terminology, billing regulations, and coding guidelines relevant to orthodontics.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to verify treatment plans and ensure proper documentation for insurance purposes.
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems effectively for record keeping and billing processes.
- Address patient inquiries regarding financial policies, payment options, and insurance coverage with professionalism and clarity.
- Follow up for past due and delinquent accounts for both responsible party and insurance.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in orthodontic billing, coding, or financial coordination within an orthodontic or dental practice.
- Strong knowledge of CDT-10 classifications, and orthodontic terminology.
- Familiarity with orthodontic office operations, including records management and billing procedures.
- Experience working with EMR/EHR systems in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately review documentation and code procedures.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with patients, insurance companies, and clinical staff.
- Prior experience in collections or accounts receivable management is preferred.

Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
