We are seeking an Assistant Mechanic to join our team. The Assistant Mechanic supports the maintenance and repair of our fleet of golf cars, course maintenance equipment, and utility vehicles under the direction of our head Mechanic. This is a hands-on role for someone who is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and takes pride in keeping equipment running at peak performance so our grounds crew can do their best work every day.
Assist the head Mechanic with routine maintenance, inspection, and repair of golf cars, mowers, tractors, and other club equipment.
Perform oil changes, filter replacements, belt adjustments, blade sharpening, and other scheduled preventive maintenance tasks.
Diagnose mechanical issues under the guidance of the head Mechanic and assist with troubleshooting and repairs.
Maintain a clean, organized shop environment and properly store tools and equipment.
Keep accurate maintenance logs and service records for all equipment.
Assist with the fueling and charging of equipment and report any safety concerns immediately.
Prior experience in small engine repair, equipment maintenance, or a related mechanical trade preferred.
Basic knowledge of gas and electric engine systems; golf car or turf equipment experience a plus.
Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to performing work correctly the first time.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment.
Valid driver's license required.
