EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
This position directs inmate work crews as they complete maintenance, repair, and construction tasks throughout the facility while also performing hands-on work in various trades. The role supports safe operations by managing schedules, tools, materials, and work quality across a wide range of assignments. As a Corrections Maintenance Foreman, you will perform the following duties: Work Crew Supervision: Plan daily assignments for inmate crews, guide their work, and inspect completed tasksMaintenance Support: Perform or assist with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry, or other skilled trade workTool and Material Control: Issue, track, and inventory tools and materials and conduct searches to maintain accountabilityResource Planning: Determine needed supplies and submit purchase requests for materials and equipmentSafety and Order: Maintain order during work details and provide instruction on safe operation of tools and machineryGeneral Duties: Carry out additional tasks that support maintenance operations across the facilityInterested in learning more?
