Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Pre-Scale Worker to join our production team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for accurately weighing and preparing ingredients for production while following established formulas, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient workplace.
Shift - Mon-Thurs 1st Shift 5:30 AM - 4 PM
Requirements
- Previous food manufacturing and/or batch operator experience required.
- Ability to accurately work with multiple units of measurement, including grams, kilograms, and pounds.
- Accurately weigh and measure wet/dry ingredients according to production formulas.
- Ability and willingness to work 10 hour shifts.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in a food production environment preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and challenging production environment.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions, guidelines, and procedures.
- Ability to follow health, safety, hygiene, sanitation, and food safety requirements.
- Basic math skills with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
- Strong physical endurance with the ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Flexibility to work overtime and varying hours as needed.
Job Duties
- Follow procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan, Food Quality Plan, SQF system, and programs supporting third-party audits.
- Safely handle materials used in production, including bags, containers, boxes, and bulk totes.
- Dispense ingredients into containers while following proper GMP procedures.
- Accurately weigh and measure wet/dry ingredients according to production formulas.
- Operate scales using measurements in grams, kilograms, and pounds.
- Prepare ingredient identification labels and properly attach them to products and containers.
- Record ingredient types, weights, lot numbers, and other required information in production records.
- Maintain accurate documentation to support product traceability and production requirements.
- Work collaboratively with team members and maintain positive, respectful, and open communication.
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
