We're looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Drug & Alcohol Collection Specialist to join our growing clinical team. If you take pride in following procedures, maintaining accuracy, and treating every client with professionalism and respect, we'd love to meet you.
Whether you're already DOT-certified or looking to become certified, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.
What You'll Do
As a Drug & Alcohol Collection Specialist, you'll be responsible for conducting workplace drug and alcohol testing in accordance with federal regulations and company procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform DOT and non-DOT urine specimen collections
- Conduct breath alcohol testing after completing required certification
- Verify donor identification and complete Chain of Custody documentation accurately
- Maintain strict compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and collection procedures
- Protect the confidentiality of patient, employer, and testing information
- Prepare and package specimens for shipment to certified laboratories
- Maintain collection rooms, supplies, and testing equipment
- Provide a professional, respectful experience for every donor
- Travel between Rapid DOT Physicals locations and occasional mobile collection sites as business needs require
- Participate in ongoing training and competency assessments

Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel between clinic locations as scheduled
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to pass pre-employment screening, if applicable
Preferred
- DOT Urine Specimen Collector Certification
- Breath Alcohol Technician (BAT) Certification
- Previous experience in occupational health, healthcare, laboratory services, medical assisting, EMT, phlebotomy, or specimen collection
- TWIC card (or willingness to obtain one with company assistance)
No certification? No problem. We are willing to train the right candidate.
Physical Requirements
This position regularly requires the ability to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods
- Lift and carry supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
- Bend, reach, and move throughout the clinic
- Use computers and electronic documentation systems
- Travel between clinic locations and occasional off-site collections
