Treasury Analyst – Manufacturing Operations (U.S., Mexico & Canada)
Location: Flexible / Hybrid
Salary: $150,000 – $160,000 annually + comprehensive benefits package
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly analytical Treasury Analyst to support the financial operations of a growing North American manufacturing organization with operations throughout the United States, Mexico, and Canada. This role will be responsible for treasury management, cash forecasting, liquidity planning, financial analysis, FP&A support, working capital optimization, and strategic initiatives associated with operational improvement and business transformation.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of treasury, FP&A, manufacturing finance, and operational experience, with a demonstrated track record supporting companies undergoing turnaround, restructuring, or significant operational change. This position will work closely with executive leadership, plant management, operations, accounting, and banking partners to ensure efficient management of cash, debt, and financial resources across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
Key ResponsibilitiesTreasury & Cash Management
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, monthly, and rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts.
- Monitor and manage cash positions across U.S., Mexican, and Canadian operations.
- Optimize liquidity and working capital throughout the organization.
- Manage intercompany cash movements, cross-border transactions, and banking relationships.
- Coordinate borrowing activity, debt compliance, and lender reporting requirements.
- Analyze foreign exchange exposures and recommend hedging or mitigation strategies.
- Oversee cash concentration, payment processes, wire transfers, and treasury controls.
- Support refinancing, capital raising, and strategic treasury initiatives as needed.
FP&A & Financial Analysis
- Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-range financial plans.
- Analyze plant-level profitability, operating performance, and manufacturing metrics.
- Develop financial models supporting strategic decision-making and operational initiatives.
- Provide variance analysis, KPI reporting, and executive-level financial presentations.
- Support monthly operating reviews with executive management and plant leadership.
- Identify opportunities for margin improvement, cost reduction, and working capital enhancement.
Manufacturing Finance
- Partner with plant managers and operations leaders to evaluate production performance and financial results.
- Analyze inventory levels, inventory turns, purchasing trends, and supply chain impacts.
- Evaluate capital expenditure projects and return-on-investment opportunities.
- Support operational improvement initiatives through financial analysis and reporting.
- Develop reporting tools that improve visibility into plant performance and cash generation.
Turnaround & Transformation Support
- Participate in restructuring, turnaround, integration, or operational improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve cash conversion cycles and strengthen liquidity.
- Assist leadership in evaluating strategic alternatives and financial scenarios.
- Support lender, investor, and board-level reporting requirements during periods of organizational change.
- Establish and enhance treasury, forecasting, and financial reporting processes.
QualificationsRequired Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in treasury, corporate finance, FP&A, or manufacturing finance.
- Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations.
- Experience managing treasury activities across multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated experience in turnaround, restructuring, business transformation, or operational improvement environments.
- Strong cash forecasting and liquidity management experience.
- Experience working with banking institutions, lenders, and treasury management systems.
- Advanced financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, CFA, CTP, or similar professional designation.
- Experience with operations in Mexico and Canada.
- Knowledge of foreign exchange, international treasury operations, and cross-border cash management.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, QAD, Infor, or similar manufacturing platforms.
- Familiarity with private equity-backed, leveraged, or turnaround environments.
