What you’ll do
- Diagnose and repair automotive systems including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, and brake repairs
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues with vehicles efficiently
- Work on diesel engine repairs and air brake systems with precision and care
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction
- Interpret schematics for complex repairs and installations
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance needs clearly
Basic qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
- Familiarity with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology
- Experience with GM vehicles is a plus
Preferred qualifications
- Previous dealership experience is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair processes
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including alignment, suspension, shocks & struts
- Ability to estimate repair costs accurately for customers
