You will play a key role in growing our census, supporting smooth admissions, strengthening referral partnerships, and promoting the amazing work happening inside Emerald Nursing and Rehab.

About the Role
The Admissions and Marketing Director is responsible for managing the admissions process from referral to move-in while also leading marketing and community outreach efforts. This position works closely with residents, families, hospitals, referral partners, and internal facility departments to ensure every admission is smooth, welcoming, and well-coordinated.
You will also serve as a face of Emerald Nursing and Rehab in the community by building strong relationships with hospitals, clinics, case managers, social workers, community organizations, and other referral sources.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Manage the admissions process from inquiry/referral through admission.
Evaluate potential residents based on facility criteria, including medical, financial, social, and psychosocial needs.
Collect and verify required admission information, including medical records, insurance details, financial information, and personal preferences.
Assist with insurance verification, pre-certification, and understanding payment options.
Complete and manage all admission paperwork, consent forms, agreements, and required documentation.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records.
Coordinate with nursing, therapy, social services, business office, dietary, housekeeping, and other departments to prepare for new admissions.
Provide facility tours to potential residents, families, and referral partners.
Create a positive and welcoming admission experience for residents and families.
Promote Emerald Nursing and Rehab through community outreach, marketing efforts, and relationship building.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, clinics, discharge planners, case managers, social workers, and community partners.
Attend community events, networking opportunities, and referral meetings as needed.
Assist with developing marketing materials, social media content, and facility promotional efforts.
Track referrals, admissions, census trends, and follow-up opportunities.
Represent the facility professionally and positively in the community.
Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect throughout the admission process and during their stay.
Support a fun, positive, team-focused environment inside the facility.
Position Requirements

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, social work, marketing, business, psychology, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Prior experience in long-term care admissions, skilled nursing admissions, healthcare marketing, or community relations preferred.
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, HMOs, insurance verification, and reimbursement processes preferred.
Experience with PointClickCare or other electronic health record systems preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Proficient computer skills required.
Must be able to perform work safely and respond effectively to resident, family, and facility needs.
