Chatter Academy is a one of a kind communication program for special needs children who have complex communication styles. Join our dedicated team at Chatter Academy in providing exceptional care for children in our speech based education program. We are seeking compassionate and motivated individuals to serve as an Instructor in our classroom, supporting our students in achieving their goals.

We'll teach you our curriculum and approach; you bring the enthusiasm, leadership, and heart.
Responsibilities:
- Comfortable leading a classroom independently (3-4 kids)
- Be comfortable singing, dancing, playing, and making learning fun
- Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs), and personalized goals with the guidance and support of Speech Therapists and Speech Therapy Assistants
- Provide small group support to students during classroom activities, ensuring their engagement and understanding.
- Support students with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance as needed.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes the social and emotional development of students.
- Collaborate with instructors and therapists to monitor student progress and adjust support strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and behavior, and communicate observations to the educational team.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in special education practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs required.
- Understanding of disabilities and ability to implement strategies to support diverse learning needs (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
- Someone who is self motivated, works well in a team, and is willing to get creative to meet our kids where they are.
- An understanding of Speech Pathology, or experience with AAC devices.
This is a full time position: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
