VIBRA TRAVELS is seeking a Travel Laboratory Assistant to join our expanding network of healthcare professionals. We’re looking for dependable, detail-focused travelers with experience supporting laboratory operations in a healthcare setting. Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of recent hospital or clinical laboratory experience as a laboratory assistant, lab aide, or similar role
- Current BLS certification through a Vibra Travels approved vendor required; client may require AHA
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of a laboratory assistant or related healthcare training program preferred
- Current, valid, and active driver’s license required
- Ability to travel using publicly available air and ground transportation
- Certificates, Licensures, Registrations: Any current, valid, and active license and/or certification required to practice as a laboratory assistant in the state of employment
- Current BLS certification from a Vibra Travels-approved vendor required, AHA preferred and may be required by some clients
Additional Qualifications/Skills:
- Experience providing intraoperative first assist support including tissue handling, exposure, and hemostasis
- Ability to assist with suturing, wound closure, and instrument handling as permitted by scope of practice
- Knowledge of surgical anatomy, procedures, and sterile technique
- Familiarity with operating room protocols and patient safety standards
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR teams
- Free from illegal drug use and effects of alcohol in the workplace
