Position Summary
Teachers are responsible for creating a warm, nurturing classroom environment where children develop socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and spiritually. Successful candidates will work collaboratively with fellow teachers, communicate effectively with families, and support the mission and values of Grace Christian School.
Responsibilities
- Provide loving, attentive care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
- Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities.
- Foster children's spiritual growth through Bible stories, prayer, worship, and Christian character development.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
- Observe and document children's developmental progress.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and coworkers.
- Follow California Community Care Licensing regulations and school policies.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 12 ECE Units required by California licensing (or is working toward qualification).
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children preferred.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Passion for early childhood education.
- Team-oriented, dependable, and flexible.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must successfully complete required background clearance and employment screening.
- A personal commitment to the Christian faith and willingness to support the mission and values of Grace Christian School.
