Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Shift Supervisor to lead our retail team during peak hours and ensure smooth store operations. In this dynamic role, you will oversee daily store activities, motivate staff, and deliver exceptional customer service. Your leadership will drive sales, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold store standards, creating a positive shopping environment for all customers. Duties
- Supervise daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS transactions to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Lead, motivate, and develop team members through effective training, coaching, and performance management
- Manage inventory control by overseeing stocking, merchandising, pricing, and inventory audits to minimize shrinkage and optimize product availability
- Deliver outstanding customer service by resolving issues promptly, addressing inquiries, and maintaining a welcoming store atmosphere
- Coordinate scheduling to ensure proper shift coverage while managing time effectively to meet sales goals and operational needs
- Assist with recruiting efforts by conducting interviews and onboarding new employees to build a strong team foundation
- Oversee sales management activities such as promotional campaigns, upselling strategies, and achieving sales targets
Requirements
- Proven supervisory or managerial experience in retail or a similar customer-focused environment with supervising responsibilities
- Strong communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases
- Demonstrated skills in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and inventory management
- Proficiency with POS systems, retail math calculations, cash handling procedures, and pricing strategies
- Experience in retail sales management, merchandising, stocking, marketing initiatives, and store management practices
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Leadership qualities with a focus on training & development, team management, budgeting capabilities, and time management skills
- Knowledge of wireless sales or grocery store operations is a plus but not required
- Ability to communicate clearly with customers and team members while maintaining professionalism at all times
