Job Summary
We are seeking a Clinical Research Assistant to join our dedicated team. This role requires prior experience with phlebotomy and vital signs and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful CNS research while working directly with participants. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable supporting both the clinical research team and front office operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect vital signs and perform phlebotomy during study visits in compliance with protocol and safety procedures.
- Assist with lab processing (centrifugation, labeling, logging, and preparation for shipment), as needed.
- Support participant recruitment through phone pre-screening, scheduling, and follow-up communication.
- Greet and check in participants for study visits; assist with front office coverage and reception duties as needed.
- Prepare visit materials, study charts, and ensure timely, accurate source documentation.
- Maintain logs for enrollment, visits, labs, and investigational product under staff supervision.
- Respond to CRA queries and prepare for sponsor monitoring visits.
- Track and maintain study supplies, lab kits, and sample shipment records.
- Assist with study startup, team meetings, and regulatory documentation tasks.
- Uphold Good Clinical Practice (GCP), HIPAA, and FDA regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current Washington State certification as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist required.
- At least 6 months experience in phlebotomy and/or vital sign collection.
- Minimum, high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior clinical research experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable with a wide range of patient populations, from pediatric to geriatric.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable with front desk tasks including phones, check-in, and general administrative support.
