Overview
We are seeking a motivated and sales-driven Assistant General Manager to support the operations of our Club Pilates NoPa studio in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fitness sales, a passion for promoting health and wellness, and the ability to assist in managing studio operations and staff.
This role requires an energetic, organized individual who thrives in a team environment and is comfortable taking initiative in both sales and operational support. Candidates must be available to work at least 30 hours per week onsite at the studio.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of fitness sales or retail/service sales experience required
- Management or supervisory experience preferred (fitness or boutique studio setting a plus)
- Confident in driving personal and team sales performance
- Strong understanding of membership sales, lead generation, and customer engagement
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills — in person, by phone, and via email
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Passion for fitness and helping others reach their goals
- Reliable, professional, and punctual with a positive, team-oriented attitude
- Proficiency with computers and studio management software (experience with ClubReady preferred)
Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in daily studio operations and sales performance management
- Support and participate in lead generation, community outreach, and marketing efforts
- Conduct and track membership sales, following up with leads to convert prospects
- Help manage studio staff schedules and provide leadership support when needed
- Maintain a high level of member satisfaction and studio cleanliness
- Support front desk operations, including check-ins, phone inquiries, and retail sales
- Collaborate with the GM on performance reports, inventory, and administrative tasks
- Uphold all Club Pilates policies and procedures
- Ensure an outstanding experience for every member and guest
- Serve as a role model for professionalism, teamwork, and member engagement
