Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Breakfast Attendant to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will ensure our breakfast service runs smoothly by preparing food, maintaining cleanliness, and providing exceptional in-person customer service. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a positive start to our guests’ day while adhering to food safety standards and operational procedures.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve breakfast items efficiently, following food safety sanitizing procedures and culinary standards
- Set up breakfast areas, ensuring cleanliness and proper presentation of food displays
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively during food preparation
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchens, and equipment through regular cleaning routines
- Assist with food handling, portioning, and manual handling tasks to ensure quality and safety
- Process cash transactions accurately using POS systems when applicable
- Provide friendly in-person customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and accommodating special requests
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, catering, or restaurant environments is preferred
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitizing procedures
- Experience with food preparation, serving, and operating kitchen equipment
- Familiarity with POS systems and processing cash transactions is a plus
- Ability to handle weight in the workplace safely and perform manual handling tasks effectively
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities
- Culinary or banquet experience is advantageous but not required
- Basic math skills for transaction processing and inventory management
