Position Title: Machine Operator
Reporting to: Production Manager

This manufacturing position is focused on our Generator Manufacturing Division. The ideal candidate will have experience working with precision measuring instruments and operating machinery. As a machine operator, you will play a crucial role in our manufacturing process, responsible for operating machinery to cut and shape materials according to specifications provided in shop drawings.
Set up and operate machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc.
Operate machinery to cut and shape materials according to shop drawings
Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
Inspect finished products for accuracy and adherence to quality standards
Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance
Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment
To perform other duties as required from time to time as requested

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
Ability to read and interpret basic shop drawings and work instructions.
Experience using hand tools and basic shop equipment.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Ability to follow safety procedures and quality standards.
Experience operating fabrication or machining equipment.
Experience working with steel, sheet metal, or fabricated components.
Experience with calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools.
Experience in generator manufacturing, heavy equipment, welding, fabrication, or industrial production environments.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and climb stairs.
Ability to push, pull, and lift materials weighing 50+ pounds.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and industrial equipment.
Ability to wear required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other safety equipment as required.

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment supporting generator production.

Regular exposure to machinery, industrial equipment, noise, and manufacturing materials.

May work in varying temperatures and conditions depending on production needs.
