Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Hostess with experience in food service and guest relations to join our vibrant team. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage waitlists efficiently to minimize wait times
- Handle restaurant reservation management using popular systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate table management to optimize seating arrangements and enhance guest flow
- Communicate clearly with guests via phone and in person, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Assist with guest inquiries, special requests, and provide information about menu offerings and restaurant policies
- Support food service staff by ensuring timely seating and smooth transition from reservation to dining experience
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer-facing hospitality role is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to handle phone calls professionally and courteously
- Knowledge of restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable
- Experience working with restaurant table management systems and POS systems in general
- Excellent organizational skills to manage reservations, waitlists, and guest flow efficiently
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, seating calculations, and billing support when needed
- Food safety knowledge and understanding of hospitality standards are advantageous
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is a plus, especially in high-volume environments
- Hotel or guest services experience can be beneficial for providing exceptional guest relations
