Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and fixtures
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure proper installation of plumbing systems in new buildings
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of plumbing systems to identify and address potential issues
- Diagnose and troubleshoot plumbing problems, such as leaks, clogs, or damaged pipes
- Repair or replace plumbing fixtures, such as faucets, toilets, and sinks
- Install and maintain water heaters and other appliances that require plumbing connections
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as electricians or HVAC technicians, to complete projects requiring multiple skill sets
Skills:
- Proficiency in HVAC systems and their integration with plumbing systems
- Knowledge of construction plumbing techniques and codes
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations
- Experience in remodeling projects involving plumbing system modifications
- Familiarity with a variety of hand tools used in plumbing work
- Ability to weld or solder pipes for repairs or installations
- Carpentry skills for building or assembling structures related to plumbing systems
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and working in tight spaces
