Duties
- Safely operate cargo bikes, wheelchairs, pedicabs, or hand trucks to transport goods and packages efficiently.
- Assist customers with wheelchair assistance or handling special delivery needs, ensuring a positive experience.
- Manage customer expectations by providing clear communication about delivery times and handling inquiries professionally.
- Use dollies and other equipment to load and unload deliveries securely, maintaining safety standards at all times.
- Navigate routes effectively using GPS or mapping tools to ensure prompt deliveries across designated areas.
- Handle customer inquiries with enthusiasm and professionalism, resolving issues promptly to enhance satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and documentation for each shipment or package delivered.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a courier, delivery driver, or in food service with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to handle various equipment such as hand trucks, dollies, cargo bikes, or pedicabs confidently.
- Strong communication skills for managing customer expectations and addressing inquiries clearly.
- Physical stamina to lift packages, assist with wheelchair assistance, and perform deliveries in diverse weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license or relevant certification for operating cargo bikes or other delivery equipment (where applicable).
- Prior experience with handling customer interactions in fast-paced environments is preferred.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and service.
