Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. We are open 7AM -3PM Monday-Friday and will need someone with the availability to accommodate. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role involves both meal preparation and cooking, ensuring that all dishes are prepared according to our established recipes and standards.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, slicing, and measuring food items.
- Cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all food served.
- Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
Experience
- Previous experience in meal preparation or food service is preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations within the food industry.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
- Experience in restaurant settings is a plus, particularly in roles involving food preparation or line cooking.
