Position Details:
Job Title: RN Home Health
Location: Detroit, MI 48202
Duration: 17 weeks with possible extension
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, including one Saturday per month
Pay Rate: $54/hour.
Coverage Area:
The position will cover Wayne, Oakland, and Macomb counties. Candidates should anticipate an average caseload of approximately 6 patient visits per day, with 40–60 miles of driving daily.
Job Summary:
Under the general supervision of the nursing supervisor, the RN Home Health Nurse will utilize nursing knowledge and clinical expertise to provide direct patient care in the home setting. The role includes assessing the need for allied healthcare services such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, nutrition, speech pathology, and social work to ensure a comprehensive and integrated home healthcare delivery system. Additional related duties may be assigned as needed.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Minimum of 1 Year of experience working as Home Health RN in Certified Facility.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and hospital personnel
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
- Ability to lift, carry, transport, and assist clients when necessary
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Successful completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program recognized by the National League of Nursing
- Current Michigan RN License
- BLS Certification
- Valid Michigan Driver’s License with a satisfactory driving record
- Reliable transportation and telephone access required.
