Interstate Wholesale Fence, a leading wholesale fence manufacturer, is seeking an experienced and highly capable Warehouse Manager to lead daily operations, optimize logistical processes, and ensure a productive, safe, and organized work environment. This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who thrives in a fast‑paced setting, enjoys working both indoors and outdoors, and takes ownership of operational excellence.
Position Overview
As the Warehouse Manager, you will oversee all warehouse functions, including inventory management, personnel supervision, transportation logistics, and process improvement. You will be responsible for maintaining workflow efficiency, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.
This position requires strong leadership, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to perform in all weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily warehouse operations to ensure efficient inventory flow and supply chain performance.
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing training, coaching, and performance oversight to maintain productivity and safety.
- Coordinate transportation logistics, including freight scheduling, loading/unloading, and order fulfillment.
- Operate forklifts safely for loading and unloading flatbed trucks.
- Implement and refine warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and quality control measures.
- Utilize warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) for tracking, reporting, and workflow optimization.
- Oversee gathering, packing, and preparation of materials needed to fulfill orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Work Saturdays as needed, especially during peak season.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of warehouse supervisory or management experience.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage teams.
- Forklift operation experience required.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to perform under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; basic computer knowledge required.
- Must enjoy working outdoors.
- Knowledge of fencing materials is a plus.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
