Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a smooth dining experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to manage guest relations effectively.
Duties
- Greet guests promptly and with a friendly demeanor as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations when necessary.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with a positive attitude, striving to enhance their dining experience.
- Utilize POS systems, including Toast POS, and Open Table to manage reservations and track guest flow.
Skills
- Strong phone etiquette to handle reservations and inquiries professionally.
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, showcasing an understanding of guest relations.
- Previous experience with Toast and Open Table preferred
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations, including knowledge of menu items and service standards.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks in a busy environment.
Pay: From $16.90 per hour
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Host/hostess: 1 year (Preferred)
Shift availability:
- Day Shift (Preferred)
- Night Shift (Preferred)
