Beach Service Worker
Coastal Canopy
Coastal Canopy is hiring motivated, dependable, and hardworking individuals to join our beach service team. This position involves setting up beach tents, umbrellas, chairs, and other equipment in a clean, organized, and time-efficient manner while providing excellent customer service to guests.
This is a physically active outdoor position that rewards reliability, hustle, and efficiency. Employees who work quickly, communicate well, and consistently perform at a high level have opportunities to earn significantly more through commission-based pay.
Responsibilities
- Set up and break down beach tents, umbrellas, chairs, and related equipment
- Ensure all setups are clean, secure, organized, and visually appealing
- Complete setups efficiently while maintaining quality standards
- Greet customers professionally and provide friendly customer service
- Follow all beach rules, regulations, and company procedures
- Maintain equipment and keep work areas organized
- Travel to setup locations when assigned
Requirements
- Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying beach chairs, tents, umbrellas, and other equipment
- Ability to work outdoors in heat, sun, sand, and varying weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Strong work ethic and ability to hustle in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and good communication skills
- Weekend and holiday availability may be required
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous beach service, hospitality, customer service, or outdoor labor experience
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to travel between multiple setup locations independently
Pay & Advancement Opportunities
- Starting pay begins at:
- $13/hour + tips for employees age 16 and under
- $15/hour + tips starting pay for adults
- Up to $30+ for high hustle, proven dependable, service-obsessed individuals who have their own reliable transportation (truck) that they are willing to use for work.
- Employees who are dependable, efficient, quick, and able to travel to multiple locations in their own vehicle may qualify for:
- Higher hourly pay
- Commission opportunities on setups
- Mobile route assignments
- High-performing employees can earn up to $30/hour or more through commission-based opportunities
- Top performers may also qualify for independent contract opportunities with straight commission pay based on workload and performance
Schedule - Morning Shift
- Most Shifts start at 5:30 for those who are mobile, & 6am for those who work resort.
Afternoon Shift
- Standard afternoon hours are typically 5:00 PM – 7:00/7:30 PM occasionally going to 8:30pm on Holidays
