Responsibilities
- Must hold valid VA Liability Insurance and Massage Licenses
- Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address individual patient concerns
- Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on physiology knowledge and medical history
- Educate clients on self-care practices, occupational health, and pain management strategies
- Maintain detailed records of treatments, patient progress, and relevant medical terminology in compliance with privacy standards
- Provide exceptional customer service by creating a calming atmosphere and addressing patient questions or concerns with professionalism
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment outcomes and support holistic wellness approaches
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and licensing requirements to ensure high-quality care
Skills
- Strong patient service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in patient assessment and understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Expertise in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and pain management techniques
- Knowledge of occupational health principles relevant to workplace wellness programs
- Previous med spa experience is highly desirable for delivering specialized aesthetic massage services
- Ability to build rapport quickly while maintaining professional boundaries
- Commitment to ongoing education and adherence to licensing standards
