Our company is seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals to help sell our products. The ideal candidates for this position will work well in a team environment, be able to manage their own sales process and interact professionally with guests, vendors and co-workers. Candidates must be willing to take direction, get feedback and improve upon ideas or processes, while helping build and maintain a positive relationship with our guests.
Responsibilities:
- It is the primary responsibility of the Gift Shop and Ticket Booth Associate to perform a variety of duties including ticket sales to the ranch, beverages/snacks, gift certificates, and other merchandise items.
- The Gift Shop and Ticket Booth Associate will provide exceptional guest service, exceed guest expectations, cash handling, and service recovery.
- Perform ticket, and if needed identity, verification, prior to guest entry into the ranch.
- Provide educated answers to guest questions and be able to furnish detailed information regarding the property and services.
- Solve guest issues within scope of authority; otherwise refers to senior staff.
- Utilize and balance a cash drawer and ticket sales with various tender types.
- Interpret and operate numerous computer and ticketing systems with accuracy.
- Clean the work area thoroughly at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Organize and accurately fill in all daily paperwork by tender type and the number of guests per group.
- Keep areas well stocked with beverages, snacks, and merchandise.
- Assist with gift shop sales for merchandise and experiences.
- Assist with gift shop inventory.
- Other job-related duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills as well as interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
- Effectively manage multiple tasks under pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to take initiative and exhibit flexibility.
- Effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
- Work weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Fully vaccinated for Covid-19, and have received 1 booster.
- Bondable.
- Able to pass a criminal background check.
- Experience handling money and other tenders for transactions.
- Customer service experience.
- Retail experience.
Compensation: Starting pay is $15/hour, 8 free general admission passes per year.
Schedule: We are hiring for two part-time positions. 4 days per week 9am-2:30pm for our summer hours (The schedule will be 10am-3:30pm when we switch to our winter hours in October). One schedule will be Sunday through Wednesday, and the other schedule will be Wednesday through Saturday. These will be set schedules that do not rotate. During the holiday season there is an opportunity for additional hours.
