Position Summary:
The Coil Line Supervisor is responsible for leading daily manufacturing operations by overseeing production employees, ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency goals are achieved. This role provides leadership, coaching, and direction to employees while managing workflow, equipment performance, and process improvements.
Essential Functions:
- Lead, coach, and develop production employees to maximize performance and maintain a positive work environment.
- Establish priorities, communicate expectations, and ensure production goals are achieved safely and efficiently.
- Manage daily workflow by monitoring production processes, equipment performance, personnel, and quality standards.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, safety requirements, and production standards.
- Identify process improvements and implement corrective action plans to address production issues or audit findings.
- Review production schedules, work orders, reports, and inventory requirements to meet operational goals.
- Monitor equipment, process variables, and production control points to ensure products meet specifications.
- Complete administrative responsibilities including timekeeping, attendance tracking, vacation scheduling, production reporting, back order reviews, and safety documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives utilizing lean manufacturing principles.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Operations Management or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an assembly manufacturing leadership or supervisory role preferred.
- Experience with lean manufacturing processes preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and meet production deadlines.
- Positive, action-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
