Most people who run our lots don't stay porters. They move into sales, into service advising, into parts. We promote from within because we'd rather train someone who already knows how our stores run than gamble on a stranger. If you show up on time, take care of the cars, and pay attention — we'll tell you exactly what the next step looks like and how to get there.
Oakland Kia is our newest store, and we run it alongside Oakland Acura and Walnut Creek Honda. Our Acura store is the #1 Acura EV dealer in the Bay Area and the #1 NSX dealer in the world. We know how to run a dealership, and we're building this one the same way.
Where you'll be
You'll be based at our Walnut Creek Honda storage lot — that's where you start and end your day. A regular part of the job is driving vehicles out to Oakland Kia and to customer locations, then taking BART back to Walnut Creek. Your travel time is paid and we cover your BART fare, so bring a Clipper card and we'll handle the rest.

What you'll actually do
- Keep the lot and showroom organized, clean, and displayed to standard
- Stock in new and used vehicles — paperwork, photos, fuel, key tags
- Rinse and wash vehicles to get them front-line ready for sale
- Prep sold units for delivery: fuel, wash, sticker removal, final walk-through
- Drive vehicles from the Walnut Creek lot to Oakland Kia and to customer locations, returning by BART
- Run dealer trades to other stores
- Manage the battery charging rotation so no car goes dead on the lot
- Keep buyer's guides, sale tags, and decals current on every used unit
- Receive vehicles from transport and after-hours tow drop-offs
- Report any damage to your manager immediately and directly
What we need from you
- Valid California driver's license with a clean record
- Comfortable driving both automatic and manual transmissions
- Comfortable riding BART on your own between Oakland and Walnut Creek
- Available to work one weekend day
- Able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality
No prior dealership experience required. We'll train you on everything.
