We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. This position is ideal for a motivated professional who can independently estimate projects, manage client relationships, oversee project execution, and drive projects from conception through completion.
The successful candidate will play a key role in our continued growth while working alongside an experienced team dedicated to delivering exceptional results for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Estimate commercial and industrial electrical projects, including plan/spec and design-build work
- Review and interpret architectural, electrical, and construction drawings and specifications
- Prepare accurate project estimates, budgets, and proposals
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
- Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Prepare purchase orders and manage project procurement
- Attend preconstruction meetings, project meetings, and site visits
- Coordinate project requirements with field personnel and project stakeholders
- Manage project schedules, costs, labor, materials, and overall performance
- Track, price, and negotiate change orders and project modifications
- Monitor project profitability and financial performance
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, applicable codes, and company standards
- Oversee projects from initial estimate through final closeout
Qualifications
Required
- 2+ years of experience in electrical estimating, project management, or a combination of both
- Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical construction practices
- Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam and/or Adobe
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the Twin Cities metro area
- Ability to pass a background check, pre-employment drug screen, and post-accident drug testing requirements
Preferred
- Degree or technical education in Electrical Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field
- Experience with Accubid, PlanGrid, CAD, AGi32, EasyPower, or similar industry software
- Design-build project experience
- Experience managing projects ranging from $50,000 to $1 million+
Schedule
Monday–Friday, Flexible hours between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM
